New Glee promo for 4x01
I'm just taking a little break from the mad sprint that is trying to finish this last chapter before the premiere Thursday (and yes, I'm still horribly behind with comment replies and email and argh) and this is the last chapter of the story, but I will write an epilogue to get my desire for 8 chapters satisfied, but! I caught the new promo for 4x01 and, um?
Kurt appears to be working at The Lima Bean and is being given a hard time by the new cheerleader (whose name I cannot recall), and I just... I'm having trouble reacting.
Okay. Kurt as a barista is not a bad thing. It's kind of a cool job for him to take to make some money while he's figuring out a new plan for himself. He likes coffee, it's something that does require some skill & finesse, so he can be perfectionistic about it, competitive even (at least in NZ there are barista competitions, and cafés are proud to advertise their skillful, award winning baristas) if he wants, and Kurt likes food and food preparation and all that.
There's just the whole Sebastian taunting him thing about ending up with broken dreams in a Lima Bean apron that makes it awful awful awful x a million awfuls. And if the freshman cheerleader is giving him a hard time, what other bullying is there? I don't even want to think about Sebastian coming in there on the first day of school.
So the rest of fandom freaks about the 4x04 'spoilers' (I'm not convinced fandom's freak-out is warranted; I suspect there may be some premature conclusions being formed with too little info, but I digress), and I freak over Kurt making coffee.
All right, now that's out of my system, back to the pornographing.
