Victorian Flower Symbolism
I'm having way too much fun with this information this morning, so I'm sharing.
The Language of Flowers.
I've been putting together a bouquet for Blaine to give Kurt. I wanted it to be primarily purple (because lilacs) and white, with yellow accents, all Spring flowers w/extra foliage. This is what I've got.
CAMELLIA - Admiration, Perfection, Good Luck Gift for a Man, Gratitude
CAMELLIA (WHITE) - Adoration, Perfection, Loveliness
FERN - Magic, Fascination, Confidence, Shelter
FORSYTHIA - Anticipation
LILAC (GENERAL) - Beauty, Pride
LILAC (PURPLE) - First emotions of love
LILAC (WHITE) - Youthful Innocence
I think it will be pretty, and the forsythia and camellias shouldn't compete with the lilacs' fragrance.
