[Fic] Coup de Foudre (1/3)

(This began as a stand-alone ficlet, but I've decided to expand it into a bit of WAFFy erotica, hence the rating changes and stuff.)
Coup de Foudre

Title: Coup de Foudre (1/3)
Wordcount: ~10,500 overall
Rating: MA
Pairing(s): Kurt/Blaine
Genre: Erotica, WAFF, PWPish, Romance
Warning(s): sex, language, probably too much sweetness, embarrassment, mild alcohol use, porn watching
Prompt(s): Written for Anonymous' AU ficlet prompt: Klaine and one of them is a foreign exchange student.
Notes: Thank you to gettinglostinneverland for cultural advice and beta reading! This story wouldn't exist without her encouragement and inspiration. An extra thank you to nuestroamoresunviaje for some help with a key French phrase, and to teiledesganzen for insightful and interesting responses to my questions about German swearing. :) And, an additional thank you to Soizic and cymeteria. Cymeteria has been so generous with her Alsatian language & cultural advice and very patient with all my questions. <3 Any remaining flaws are not due to their diligence!
Summary: (AU) Blaine waits in the airport for the foreign exchange student from Alsace. (Or, the tale of how Blaine Anderson lost his virginity to the hot French exchange student.)
Bonus playlist & art from gettinglostinneverland! She put together a wonderul bunch of songs by Tokio Hotel for Kurt along with perfect CD cover art here.

1. Prologue

As the passengers come down the escalator into baggage claim, Blaine stands as straight and tall as he can and holds the neatly printed sign level in front of his chest. He wears his most welcoming smile.

He's waiting for a boy named Kurt Hummel, who's flying in from Alsace, who'll be spending a semester at Dalton. The Andersons are his host family. Blaine's seen a photo of the other kid—round face, slick parted hair, snub-nose and freckles—so he knows who he's looking for.

Which maybe explains why he's still peering up the escalator anxiously when a tall, slim young man stops in front of him and says a cheerful, "Bonjour!"

"Huh?" Blaine says and refocuses his attention on the guy standing in front of him. He's got a jawline that could cut glass, flawless fair skin, and a glamorously upswept pompadour.

"You must be Blaine?" says tall and lovely with a distinct accent slanting and rounding out the words into something downright musical. He extends a strong, long-fingered hand. "I'm Kurt."

"Oh!" Blaine says. He lets got of the sign with one hand and takes Kurt's hand. "Bonjour!" Blaine says. He tries his best, but he knows the "n" is wrong—as is the vowel—and he can never manage a French "r" so it comes out leaden with his American twang. "Yes, I'm Blaine. Uh, welcome to Columbus."

"Thank you, Blaine," Kurt says. His hand lingers in Blaine's grasp a few beats longer than decorum requires, and he's smiling at Blaine in a manner that makes Blaine's knees feel like they're made of nothing more substantial than pudding. As Blaine looks, he can just barely see the kid from the photo in the boy standing before him. It's in his eyebrows and the spread of his lips. "They said my bags will be on carousel three," Kurt says.

"Right!" Blaine says and releases Kurt's hand. "Let me help you with them. My mom's waiting with the car."

Kurt's still smiling at him as Blaine leads the way toward the carousel.

"Did you have a good flight?" Blaine asks.

Kurt says it was fine and shrugs, and it's sort of a sexy shrug, which combined with the smile and the way it's lighting Kurt's pretty blue eyes, is borderline flirtatious, and they've known each other for, like, two entire minutes? Blaine was not at all prepared for this. The round-faced cherub boy he expected, he was fine with. But this…?

They wait near the center of the loop as the siren blares to announce imminent movement of the belt. "I'm sorry I didn't recognize you," Blaine says, "You don't look very much like your photo."

Kurt wrinkles his nose and laughs. "I hope you're not too disappointed," he says, wry and teasing—and yes, definitely flirting.

And Blaine feels his blush rise hot beneath the skin of his face; there's no hiding that. "No, not at all," he says. "Quite the opposite, I assure you."

Kurt's smile widens and his teeth catch his bottom lip, and Blaine sees a flush of pink bloom across his high cheekbones. "I'm so glad to hear it," Kurt says. "I've looked forward to meeting you, Blaine."

It's going to be an interesting semester.
