I avoid most vampire AUs, but I actually like how you've set this one up. I like that it's a medical condition caused by a virus, rather than writing about supernatural creatures. I can definitely see this story going further. I know you said you don't really have time for it now, but if you ever decide to come back to it later I'd enjoy reading it.
