Oh, absolutely! I think the differences would be fascinating. At least, this is me speaking as a writer who loves to hear readers' interpretations of my work, because I always learn more about it than I ever do just by writing it. I imagine the podfic transformation is equally enriching of a text, and I like how it reinforces the temporal, performance nature of reading, which is something maybe we're less aware of when we read silently to ourselves. I haven't listened to a lot of podfic to date (I don't process auditory only information super well), but I'm becoming more and more interested in the notion of listening to it as I read. Very cool! :)
