Has anyone written anything set after school the day Kurt transfers back to McKinley? Maybe meeting Blaine at The Lima Bean or somewhere else, eventually ending up back at one of their homes with enough privacy to make out, and Kurt gives Blaine the keys for all the padlocks on the straightjacket Kurt wore that day, so Blaine can unlock them all and be reminded that even though Kurt transferred back to WMHS, he's still Blaine's? Maybe it ends up being the first time they get shirtless (or nearly shirtless) together?

If not, I think I shall write it. It would be short-ish. I do not presently have another long fic in me. I could even set it in the same head canon timeline with ITWOS. Hmm. <strike>After I write this darned epilogue.</strike>

comments

Meanwhile, my partner has sprung a new story idea on me that I want to write so badly, but I'm not sure I'm versed well enough in Cthulhu Mythos to execute.

It would be a Star Trek: The Next Generation/Glee/Cthulhu mash-up, and it is all Whoopi Goldberg's fault.

comments

I'm watching through Glee again, and am midway through season 1. It's cool how much more foreshadowing there seems to be. Maybe it's just me, but the Rachel/Kurt diva off in "Wheels" dovetails nicely into the audition story of "Choke". I still think Mercedes should have been allowed to audition for DG, too. Kurt blowing that note will never not make me wince though. I recall a quote (inaccurately and I don't remember the source) that was something along the lines of the true measure of adulthood being how well we cope with humiliation. Well, Kurt, you are a very precocious boy.

What I'm really contemplating now is trying to plot some kind of cracky future!fic wherein Finn invents a zombie virus (because of his line in "Mash Up"), Kurt is an actual necromancer (but no one knows where he is), Dalton is still populated by the android boys Blaine built, and Blaine and Brittany have to use their time machine to find Kurt & save the world. And maybe Tina is a vampire. IDK. There should probably be dinosaurs and aliens, too.

But that's on a back burner; I am through the mental block I had with ITWOS and working on that today. Hurray.

comments
